Sunday, November 9 is the Global Day of Jewish Learning.
On this day, thousands of Jews from around the world will turn their attention to Torah-learning.
You are invited!
Let’s learn together. Now more than ever, we need Torah and we need each other.
What’s the program of study?
Our sages explain that God’s word has seventy faces (Numbers Rabbah 13:15-16).
Accordingly, November 9 will offer you the opportunity to explore different “faces” of the Torah – aspects revealed, respectively, by the poet and the prophet, the philosopher and the storyteller – and presented by five outstanding teacher-scholars:
| The Poet | Abigail Gillman |
| The Prophet | Avi Bernstein-Nahar |
| The Philosopher | Michael McCloskey |
| The Magid/Storyteller | Or-Nistar Rose |
| The Darshan/Reader | Ziva Hassenfeld |
Registration is free of charge, and the first 50 registrants will receive a breakfast voucher.* Everyone will enjoy coffee and tea service throughout the morning. Dietary laws observed. No outside food please.
The doors will open at 7:00AM, communal singing will commence at 7:30AM, and the first teacher will take the podium at 8AM. The session-by-session schedule will be emailed to registered participants in advance of November 9. The program will conclude by 1PM.
*If you are one of the first fifty registrants, you will be notified in advance. The voucher will be redeemable at the registration desk between 7:00AM and 9:30AM for a breakfast pastry, baked especially for us by Blacker’s Bakeshop, a nut free, dairy free, Kosher parve family owned establishment at 543 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton.
