Waivers and Indemnifications *

Both parties agree that 36 LEARNING MATTERS, THE NEW JEWISH ACADEMY, THE WALNUT STREET MINYAN, THE GOETHE INSTITUTE - BOSTON, HOME HOSPITALITY HOME OWNERS and, Avi Bernstein-Nahar, founder, president of two of the above organizations, and convener of the SUMMER ACADEMY will not be held responsible for any liability incurred by the signatory, their sponsors, and affiliates as a result of the signatory’s participation in the SUMMER ACADEMY. The signatory and their sponsors, and affiliates will particularly indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 36 LEARNING MATTERS, Avi Bernstein-Nahar, its officers, directors, partners, agents, members, and employees from and against any and all demands, claims, damages to persons or property, losses and liabilities, including reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or caused by the signatory’s negligence (including but not limited to the sale and service of alcohol) or caused by any defect in the premises or equipment, other than in the case of the above partie's negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

The signatory agrees that the above entities have the right to take photos, video, etc. of all events occurring during the course of the SUMMER ACADEMY 2026 and that 36 LEARNING MATTERS will maintain ownership of all such materials. All attendees of this weeklong program or who appear on screen in the course of any Zoom sessions we may choose to run may be photographed or recorded and the material may be posted to related social media channels without restriction.
